Unilever CMO Keith Weed (via video) and Global Marketing Strategy & New Ventures Director Jeremy Basset will also unveil details of The Next Big Thing investment pitch and award – a partnership between iMedia and ad:tech London organisers dmg events, Unilever and Collider, the Shoreditch-based tech accelerator.

Attendees will hear VICE’s recently appointed SVP Innovation Mark Adams chart the rise of ‘Publishing 3.0’ – the new media era where data, content and technology should fuel both engaging content and a sustainable commercial model – click here for the agenda.

In the evening, visitors can expect to network over a cocktail of street food, drinks, DJs, table tennis, foosball, entertainment and live Wimbledon tennis on the big screen. Blippar, described by The Telegraph as one of the UK’s most promising tech firms, will also be hosting a tennis-themed treasure hunt using augmented reality technology.

“There’s a huge appetite to connect brands and innovators from this young, vibrant and creative part of London. Whilst the ping pong table might be the ubiquitous prop in just about every East London agency, we want to get everyone out of the office for a day, talking tech, making new contacts and having fun,” says James Drake-Brockman, Head of EMEA & India at The Next Big Thing organiser dmg events.

“It’s a bit different to your standard conference, but the mix of punchy content, networking and entertainment format has captured the imagination of brands, agencies, publishers and entrepreneurs alike… I’m confident it will lead to some interesting new collaborations.”
