Golf Live’s fortunes are set to soar after agreeing a deal with Virgin Atlantic to become a major partner for this year’s show.
The event, which will be held at London Golf Club from May 18-20, has entered into an exclusive agreement with the airline giant to promote the show as it continues to attract an impressive list of backers.www.golfliveevent.com.
Golf is a growing market for Virgin Atlantic which flies to an expanding number of golf destinations from London Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow
These include routes to Florida, Las Vegas, California, Dubai, China, Australia and the Caribbean and the company’s fleet of long-haul aircraft are undergoing a major refurbishment programme to ensure they have the most innovative product and service.
In addition, Virgin Atlantic operates a policy that allows golfers to travel with their golf bags at no extra charge on top of their free baggage allowance.
Michelle Robinson, Virgin Atlantic’s global strategic marketing communications manager, said: “We’re very keen to demonstrate to golfers the undoubted benefits of flying with Virgin Atlantic and there’s no better place to do this than at Golf Live.
“It has become a must-attend event for UK golfers and is a fantastic opportunity for us to position ourselves alongside the biggest names in the sport.”
James Goode, event director for Golf Live, said: “Virgin Atlantic has created a niche for itself in the travel market over the last two decades and we are delighted to be partnering with such an established brand.
“The new arrangement will help us with our long-term aim of raising awareness for Golf Live, while Virgin Atlantic customers can enjoy a range of benefits through membership of their Flying Club Golf League – Swingers.”
As part of its involvement at Golf Live, Virgin Atlantic will provide golfers with interactive experiences during the three-day event in Kent, including great prizes to be won.
The airline is the second major partner to sign up for this year’s show after leading tour operator Golfbreaks.com agreed to return for a third year.
Golf Live offers unrivalled opportunities for visitors to interact with the biggest names in golf and this year’s event promises to be no exception.
