Silverpop sets its 2012 sights on success with new appointments and client partnerships
UK, Mar. 7, 2012 – Silverpop TM, the only marketing technology provider offering advanced email marketing and marketing automation solutions, has announced the increase of its customer base to include new clients such as Christie’s, Teletext Holiday and The British Museum Company, Limited. This sees Silverpop’s customer base grow to more than 1,500 active clients.
To accommodate this growth, Silverpop’s EMEA offices are expanding. Following on from Will Schnabel’s appointment as Managing Director for EMEA and SVP for International Business Development, Sebastian Hoelzl has joined the Munich office as Director of Marketing Strategy for Europe. Hoelzl will be focusing on building market awareness and sales penetration in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as working closely with Silverpop’s London marketing team. Hoelzl has previously served as a Client Services Director and Marketing Manager at large global companies.
Additionally, Laura Brown has been appointed as Marketing Programme Manager for EMEA. She joins Silverpop with seven years of experience in online lead generation, conversion and email marketing in the retail, gaming and travel sectors, major areas that Silverpop operates within.
Silverpop’s Engage platform provides businesses with the tools they need to increase revenue, improve ROI and operate online marketing campaigns more efficiently. Throughout last year, Silverpop added several new features to Engage including:
- Social Sign-InTM (a first in the industry), allowing site visitors to register to receive offers using their existing social network login credentials rather than risking form abandonment
- SnoozeTM, which allows subscribers to temporarily pause a company’s marketing communications rather than opting out of the program entirely
- Progressive Web Forms, which help marketers build a more complete profile of a prospect over time by asking new questions at each additional point of interaction
- Pop-InTM, an iPad application that supports remote data collection, allowing marketers to grow their contact databases while in the field or at the point of sale and syncs data to Engage at a later time
Also in 2011, Silverpop announced the acquisition of PlacePunch, a location-based marketing platform. PlacePunch makes it easy to engage customers via location check-ins incorporated into multi-channel campaigns.
Bill Nussey, CEO of Silverpop, said:
“We couldn’t be more excited about what our future looks like in 2012. To effectively drive revenue in today’s challenging and crowded EMEA marketplace you must be everywhere that your target audience is, all the time – listening to what they tell you, paying close attention to their behaviors and then automatically delivering content that corresponds to their individual needs. Silverpop is in a unique position to make this vision a reality, and we look forward to doing so with such a great group of forward-thinking clients.”
Richard Evans, Director of Marketing – EMEA, said:
“To continue the successes of 2011, Silverpop must recruit highly-driven and skilled employees to fill our ranks in London and Munich. This will not only allow us to service our clients at the highest levels of marketing performance, but also attract the type of staff needed to continue our business growth in EMEA. The additions of Sebastian Hoelzl and Laura Brown typify this. Their experience in the sector will provide Silverpop with a wealth of expertise and energy as the business moves rapidly forward.”
