Lovehoney was started in 2001 with a £9,000 investment from co-founders Richard Longhurst and Neal Slateford. Now employing more than 70 people at its warehouse and office in Bath, Somerset, Lovehoney has a turnover in excess of £16m and is growing at 20% a year.

Lovehoney is the largest online retailer of adult products in the UK, has significant B2B sales in the US, Europe and Australia, and last year bought luxury erotic boutique Coco de Mer.

The company is still owned 50/50 by the co-founders, with no debt or outside investment.
