Samsung has teamed up with Swindon Town FC and Leyton Orient FC to launch the third annual ‘Win A Pro Contract’ campaign ‘Win A Pro Contract’ gives amateur football players from across the UK the opportunity to live the dream of becoming a professional footballer.
For the first time in the competition’s history, there will be two one-year professional contracts on offer as League One Leyton Orient FC join the existing partnership with Swindon Town FC.
Samsung has renewed its media partnership with Trinity Mirror for ‘Win A Pro Contract’ to run in The People and across all 160 Trinity Mirror regional titles.
Other partners include EA SPORTS, Pro-Direct Soccer, Swindon Town FC, Leyton Orient FC, FootballCV, and Goals Soccer Centres.
Competition entry will be hosted exclusively on the Samsung Football Facebook page, www.facebook.com/samsungfootball
Over 5,600 players entered last year’s competition in a bid to sign for Paolo Di Canio’s Swindon Town.
Leyton Orient
Samsung Sponsorship Director Martin Howard said: “We’re delighted to welcome Leyton Orient as partners in ‘Win A Pro Contract’ 2012/13.
“With two professional contracts up for grabs for the first time, and our partnership with Trinity Mirror in place, we’re sure this will be the biggest ‘Win A Pro Contract’ ever.
“The past two competitions have proved how much talent there is in the UK and Samsung are determined to give the best players a break in the professional game through ‘Win A Pro Contract’.
“Last season we discovered Chris Smith, who is now in the Swindon first-team squad and made his professional debut against Bradford City FC on May 5.
“Through our sponsorships, we are proud to be involved with football clubs from the Premier League to The Football League.
“We are now looking for two unknown players who will be signed by Swindon Town FC and Leyton Orient FC and live the dream of becoming a professional footballer.”
Samsung are the Official Club Sponsor of both Swindon Town FC and Leyton Orient FC for the 2012/2013 season.
This complements the existing sponsorship deal of Chelsea FC, which currently runs until the end of the 2012/2013 season.
