We experience the best sex in our 50’s, while sexual confidence peaks between the ages of 60 and 69
A Birmingham-based Digital Agency has completed work for Ann Summers and Relate to develop the national Sex Census results website for 2012. Fast Fwd Multimedia, based at Fazeley Studios in Digbeth, was awarded the contract after successfully working with Ann Summers on other projects, including an online modelling competition to find the new face of their new brand.
The Sex Census 2012 report can be read in full by downloading at www.yoursexcensus.comFast Fwd built www.yoursexcensus.com and created the environment to survey almost 25,000 respondents.
- The census report confirms that we experience the best sex in our 50’s, while sexual confidence peaks between the ages of 60 and 69.
- And whilst 30 something’s may be in their prime they are the most dissatisfied with their love lives.
- The Sex Census 2012 advises that 25% of those aged between 30 and 39 are unhappy with their sex lives, due to money worries and the demands of modern life.
- But, in the same age group 35% said that caring for babies and younger children was having a negative impact on their sexual relationships, since they remained too tired.
- However, as the respondent’s age increased between 50 and 59 their satisfaction levels increased too – 52% confirming they had a good sex life.

Kishen Hawkins, who founded Fast Fwd, said: “The response to the 2012 Sex Census was massive. We really enjoyed the mobile app and web projects that we have been doing for Ann Summers, so getting to work with them alongside a national charity like Relate, on something as important as this, is a privilege.
“Fast Fwd was responsible for building and running the online census to enable the public to answer questions anonymously and securely, about their sex lives.
“It has allowed us to showcase some very strong technical and creative work in the Digital space.
“Ann Summers and Relate have been delighted with the online response and we continue to work with them.”
