The UK Gift Card and Voucher Association (UKGCVA), the trade body representing the UK’s £4 billion voucher, gift card and stored value solutions industry, has just announced a packed list of new members for 2012.
Waterstones, Gifted2You, HMV, Jessops, DropGifts, The Lavish Gift Company and BI Worldwide join the UKGCVA alongside existing members that include leading high street retailers, department stores, supermarkets, online retailers, B2B agencies and industry service providers.
Gifting members, such as DropGifts, Gifted2You and The Lavish Gift Company, now make up a significant share of the UK GCVA’s member portfolio, highlighting the growing space in the market for such companies and with DropGifts and Gifted2You, highlighting a new social gifting phenomena.
Waterstones, Jessops and HMV represent the next influx of leading high street retailers that are looking to become involved with the Association and benefit from the advantages associated with being a member.
BI Worldwide is a B2B incentives agency offering ways of helping clients and their brands to engage with a new generation of socially connected, tech savvy, global and multi-cultural audiences. It delivers measureable results in employee engagement, channel/customer satisfaction and loyalty, productivity and market share.
Andrew Johnson, director general of the UKGCVA, states:
“We are delighted to announce these seven new members in 2012, in what we believe will be another successful year in terms of member acquisition and also retention. We are particularly pleased with the variety of new members, covering different sectors in the industry.
Social gifting is an extension of the brand, and about getting brands into new places. For this reason we are seeing more activity – with recent joiners such as DropGifts and Gifted2You – highlighting the increasingly multichannel offering from our members, and the popularity of the social gifting phenomenon.
We are continuing to drive the Association forward as the authoritative voice in the industry, whilst also offering our members a unique level of service and providing them with the added benefits that come with being members of the Association.”
