Adult retailer Ann Summers is testing out the first AR lingerie launch, with the help of Blippar. Via Mobile Marketing
“Ann Summers is always embracing the most innovative technology – whether it is for our campaigns or within product development,” says Ann Summers brand director Fiona Davis. “Our BlippTease campaign gives the customer so much more when choosing the perfect underwear – it also helps male shoppers find the perfect solution for that special present or spontaneous treat. This is the way forward and we hope it can evolve into bigger and better things for the consumer.”
The campaign launches in the windows of all 140 Ann Summers’ outlets, online, and in catalogues, with seven lingerie collections augmented with content by Blippar. Users can pick outfits, which will be layered on their camera, so they can virtually try the outfit on, and then take pictures of themselvers – clad in their preferred lingerie – and share with… well, that’s their business.
