Clogau presented Claire Jones, brand ambassador and internationally renowned harpist, and her new husband, with their specially commissioned wedding rings for their wedding on Saturday September 9th.
Claire Jones is the face of Clogau’s Heartstrings collection, and wore a bespoke collection of Royal Roses pieces during her performance at the wedding of Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in April 2011. Claire wears her favourite Heartstrings pieces, inspired by the harp, during her many performances globally.
“My wedding ring is the most significant piece of jewellery that I own and it is absolutely stunning” said Claire. “Both Clogau and I have our roots firmly in Wales, but we both work internationally and have an ambition to share the wonder, beauty and artistry forged in Wales with the rest of the world. I love working with the brilliant team at Clogau and it’s a lot of fun.”
Welsh fashion designer, David Emanuel, created Claire’s wedding gown.
Sonia Menezes, Brand Manager of Clogau, commented; “We were delighted to have the opportunity to create the wedding rings for Claire Jones & Chris Marshall. Wedding rings are often a person’s most meaningful piece of jewellery. Our designer, Samantha Roberts spoke to Claire & Chris at great length to ensure that Clogau would produce the perfect rings to celebrate their marriage. We would like to send Claire & Chris our love and best wishes for a very happy future.
Our collaboration with Claire is one that goes from strength to strength. We welcomed the opportunity to support Claire’s most recent album, The Girl with the Golden Harp, produced in association with Classic FM. The Heartstrings track from the album will be the soundtrack for the new Clogau TV commercial. We’re honoured to be able to use this very meaningful piece of music; it was created by Chris especially for Claire to mark their engagement”
Claire’s ring is a diamond trilogy mounted on two bands of white gold Tree of Life filigree. This encircles an eternity band of 23 diamonds set in Clogau’s signature rose gold.
Chris’s band features 33 black diamonds hand set in white gold. The inside of the ring is finished with the same rose gold that Clogau is recognised for.
Both rings are inscribed with the Welsh word ‘Cariad’ meaning ‘love’ or ‘beloved’ and contain a touch of rare Welsh gold, the gold of Royalty since 1911, a fitting tribute to Claire’s former role as official Royal harpist.
