Mike Buckley has been promoted to Head of Agency Sales at Microsoft Advertising. Mike’s role includes the trading element of his previous position as Head of Trading and adds product specialist responsibility, absorbing the former Head of Agency Sales role filled by Jon Lewen until August last year.
Mike will report to Simon Davies, Sales Director, Microsoft Advertising and Online UK. Simon added: “We’re delighted to announce that Mike Buckley has been promoted to Head of Agency Sales. This is a new role that for the first time combines Mike’s original role as Head of Trading with running the Agency Sales team.
“In this transformational year for Microsoft, Mike will focus on driving revenue and market share growth through industry-leading engagement with our agency partners that showcases the Microsoft product suite – including Windows, Windows Phone, Bing, Skype, MSN, Xbox and our network and exchange business – to its full potential.
“He will also help build the already dynamic Sales Specialist team into an external asset that puts us at the front of agencies’ minds as they go through the important stages of comms planning, seeking strategic insight on target audiences and deciding on the best media to use for their campaigns.”
