The Internet Retailing Conference will take place at the Novotel Hotel in Hammersmith, London on October 9. The event offers all those operating in the area of eCommerce the opportunity to sound out retail research theories being discussed by industry strategists.
Innovation in areas such as eCommerce, mCommerce, online payments, competitor price monitoring technology and social media will be discussed at the Internet Retailing Conference in London next month.
The retailing conference will feature the latest operations, technology and innovation from over 150 exhibitors with over 5,000 visitors are expected to attend on the day.
Attendees can gain insight into user experience and learn how digital is driving the store of the future with mobile high streets. Beyond Monetisation Lies A New Advertising will discuss ways that retailers can open up advertising opportunities on their websites. Jody Goodall, head of solutions architecture at Kiddicare and Morrisons.com, will enlighten delegates on how the two retailers use eCommerce media to engage today’s shopper.
There will be three conference “streams” at this year’s event: The Customer Stream offers marketing advice on how to reach target markets with speakers from House of Fraser, Forrester, Nokia and more. The Connect Stream advises on how to maintain customer loyalty; speakers include Premier Farnell, Domino’s Pizza, Lovehoney and others from the eCommerce industry. The Commercial Stream will look at what technology retailers need to do to grow their businesses. There will be speakers from Shop Direct Group, Argos, eBay, Topman, Mothercare, Kiddicare, Morrisons, Schuh and Demandware.

There are a number of panel discussions taking place on the day. At the Towards The Cross-channel Store Environment discussion, delegates will hear more on how eCommerce, technology, operations, delivery and mobile are driving the store environment; panellists include Sean McKee, head of eCommerce and customer services at Schuh, Nikos Karaoulanis, user experience design lead at Marks and Spencer, Mark Cody, senior marketing manager for mobile at Tesco.com and Aurelie Ladeuix, innovation director at the Casino Group.
