Movers & Groovers : Jo Upward joins Platform as MD

Industry forerunners and experiential marketing company, Platform, has wooed former BT Wholesale Executive Board member, Jo Upward, to join their team as Managing Director.

Jo joins the Brighton based company who work with customers to get to the heart of their customers through engaging digital, environmental and strategic communications and experiences.  Leading the way in innovation since 1992, Platform’s clients include some of the best-known brands globally including Vodafone, Accenture, Rolls-Royce, BT, TAG Heuer and Sky.

With a remit to work with the team to achieve significant growth over the next 5 years and to help Platform better meet the needs of its customers,  , she brings with her over 20 years of experience within the customer engagement industry and a passion and drive for excellence within customer facing services.

As Director at BT, she was responsible for the strategic direction and leadership on customer experience across the whole of the BT Group, focusing on customers across the diverse range of  of BT’s £20bn customer base.   .  Previous to BT, Jo held the Commercial Director role at telecoms company, Energis, and was their  Regulatory Affairs Director and Director of Public Policy in the UK and Europe. Jo is also Vice President of the Institute of Customer Service and a Trustee on the board of HTI.
