Live & Breathe will focus on communicating Blockbuster’s USPs

Live & Breathe has been appointed by Blockbuster UK following a competitive pitch. The through-the-line account win marks a consolidation of all previous incumbent agencies.

Nick Gray, managing director of Live & Breathe, added: “This was a tough but incredibly rewarding pitch. The Blockbuster offer and client team is very progressive and has strong plans.

There is huge awareness and positive perception for the brand, largely based on historical experience and our role will be to reinforce this with the huge existing shopper base, whilst continuing to acquire new consumers.”

Live & Breathe will be responsible for creating an integrated marketing strategy that will also include seasonal campaigns and partnership marketing covering major film and game releases. Live & Breathe will focus on communicating Blockbuster’s USPs, particularly those that give it a competitive edge as well as those that are less-known to consumers.

Live & Breathe’s first task will be to undertake extensive research into the brand’s target audience. The findings will be used to develop a new communications strategy to engage consumers through the shopper journey from sofa to store. The resulting work will roll out in early 2013.

This latest win for Live & Breathe follows a range of new business appointments, including: Kwik Fit and Danone Water brands, evian and Volvic.
