Stonegate Pub Company has boosted its marketing team further following the appointment of its Marketing Director Richard Bruce last July.
Jonathan Royle and Samantha Maynard have joined Stonegate this month as Senior Marketing Managers. Jonathan will be responsible for brand marketing for Yates’s, whilst Samantha will head up marketing for the eighty-eight strong Locals pub segment.
Samantha joins Stonegate from David Lloyd Leisure where she was Marketing Manager for seven years, prior to which she was Brand Manager at Whitbread. Meanwhile, Jonathan has come full circle having worked at Yates’s in the 1990s, before roles at Spirit and Tattersall Castle Group.
In addition, Alan Armstrong has been promoted to the role of Senior Marketing Manager for Bars and Venues. Alan’s appointment is an example of the company’s commitment to developing its own people. Prior to his promotion Alan worked within the Slug & Lettuce marketing team and previously was General Manager of Slug and Lettuce in Derby.
Commenting on the appointments, Marketing Director, Richard Bruce said, “The appointment of Sam, Jon and Alan further strengthens the Stonegate marketing team and supports the Company’s focus on the customer.”
Richard joined Stonegate from Home Retail Group where he was head of the brand and customer proposition programme at Homebase. He has also previously worked with Marks & Spencer and Argos.
