One of the biggest nights in the music calendar, the Jazz FM Awards Powered by Klipsch took place at One Marylebone, London on 31st January 2013.
In 2012 Jazz FM launched the Jazz FM Awards Powered by Klipsch, US-based leaders in audio technology. The new music awards will celebrate the work of jazz musicians, composers and contributors from across the globe.
The nominations were chosen by an expert judging panel, drawn from the international jazz scene. The nominations then went to a jury of Mike Vitti (Jazz FM), Chris Philips (Jazz FM), Simon Cooke (Ronnie Scott’s), John Cumming (Serious and London Jazz Festival), Tony Dudley-Evans (Cheltenham Jazz Festival) and Jon Newey (Jazzwise), chaired by Alex Webb.
For one category, the UK Jazz Artist of the Year Award, the final selection was made by a vote of listeners to Jazz FM.
The winners will be named at the invitation-only awards ceremony, an exclusive and intimate celebration of the creativity and excitement of the jazz scene in the UK and internationally.
