SPAR is helping its retailers boost sales with a heavy focus on in-store events – kicking off with its £1 Value campaign running this month. With shoppers’ budgets especially tight going into 2013, the promotion running in SPAR stores across the UK is a great way to show customers they can find fantastic value for money in their local SPAR store.

The £1 Value campaign, which highlights a range of products available for just a pound in SPAR stores, is backed by a comprehensive themed POS kit, radio and leaflet coverage. SPAR also has numerous promotional in-store events lined up for 2013 and retailers are set to make the most of them with themed POS and other materials.

Andy Burt, SPAR UK Marketing Manager, said themed events in store are a vital area to capitalise on in helping retailers grow sales.

“Looking ahead, we want to ensure we are making the most of the opportunities themed events can offer in 2013, and help our retailers gain their share of sales and trade every event to its maximum potential,” said Burt.

“The £1 Value campaign forms one part of our overall value proposition. It is about ensuring we have hundreds of products available at a pound throughout the year. We want our customers to shop the entire store, through the aisles, rather than focusing only on promotional ends. The campaign sits perfectly with SPAR’s message to customers about price and quality. We know that the £1 Value POS and in-store events are rated really highly amongst our retailers.”

The £1 Value campaign will run throughout the year and will then be supported by seasonal events such as Chinese New Year, Pancake Day and Valentine’s Day.
