Car manufacturer Kia has obviously found the right approach in its latest integrated marketing campaign. According to a recent announcement from the company, its British website broke the record for number of monthly visitors in January
The new year also saw the launch of Kia’s new TV commercial, which possibly accounted for the dramatic surge in traffic to the website. Compared to January 2012, the number of visits increased by 45% to a total of 1,142,146, with almost one in three visitors to the site using mobile devices. A similar rise in traffic was also recorded for Kia Dealer websites, as visits increased by 59% last month.
John Bache, head of customer communications, commented that Kia’s new marketing campaign had generated a lot of the record traffic and the company is certainly happy with the soaring number of visits. He emphasized the fact that visits from mobile devices are more numerous than ever, signalling a change in consumer behaviour.
