Zone Golf is a fast paced Par 3 game with a twist, set to revolutionise golf and be the sports version of 20/20 cricket

The Masters may be on the minds of the golfing world at the moment but a new era is on the horizon. Zone Golf is a fast paced Par 3 game with a twist, set to revolutionise golf and be the sports version of 20/20 cricket.

With the imminent announcement of Zone Golf’s global premier – The Zone Golf Charity Shoot Out – which will be held at Dukes Meadows sports facility in Chiswick, Zone Golf has teamed up with Sports PR consultancy Henman Communications to spearhead its PR and launch it’s brand in the UK.

The Zone Golf Charity Shoot Out will feature A-List celebrities and golfing superstars all in the name of charity – Further details to be announced this week.

European Tour Winner, Dukes Meadows Golf Coach and a Zone Golf Director, Van Phillips said:

“We’re delighted to have the expertise of Henman Communications on our side to help make Zone Golf’s debut launch with a bang and engage not only golfing fanatics but the rest of the UK public too. It’s great that the first of many Zone Golf events will be held at my home club, Dukes Meadows, which is not only one of the best par 3 courses in the world, but also absolutely perfect for the Zone Golf format. The Zone Golf Charity Shoot Out will give us a chance to show the golfing world how our concept brings fast paced excitement into the traditionally reserved game of golf.”

Henman Communications CEO, Richard Henman said:

“We are delighted to have been chosen as the PR partner for Zone Golf. The opportunity to launch this exciting new game and its premier event at Dukes Meadows is fantastic and we have no doubt that golf fans everywhere will be enthralled by this fresh take on the game.”

Zone Golf is a colourful Par 3 game played over 9 holes, which through its fast-paced strategic nature, offers an extremely exciting alternative to ‘normal’ golf. Each Par 3 green is divided into three coloured “zones” with a hole and flag in each zone (green-easy, amber-medium, red-hard). Each player/team must nominate a zone on the tee and subsequently hit that zone to acquire the relevant points (green-3, amber-6 and red-9). Additional points are available for Bogey-1, Par-2, Birdie-3, Eagle-4 (Hole in One).  Spectator and player excitement is rocketed by the introduction of a “do or die” situation on every tee!

The player/team with the most points after nine holes wins.

Henman Communications services will incorporate press office activity, social media, stakeholder management, brand activation and media relations for Zone Golf.
