Kimberly-Clark’s European consumer business and British advertiser body ISBA are the latest high-profile organisations to tap into the growing online learning industry by providing employees and members with access to online courses for digital marketing made by London-based Discover Digital.
With brands such as Kleenex and Andrex, Kimberly-Clark joins companies such as Kellogg’s, Bacardi, Sky and Aegis Media in using Discover Digital’s interactive documentary-style course to address the shortfall in digital skills and enable employees to better exploit the opportunities provided by digital media. Kimberly-Clark is making the training available to Marketers across its Consumer Business in Europe.
Joanna Morrow from Kimberly-Clark Europe says: “As a forward-looking company, marketing effectively in a digital world is absolutely critical to our future. We want our people to be more confident and more capable in harnessing opportunities in this fast-moving environment.
The key challenge, was finding a solution that would actually have a lasting impact on people’s knowledge; was really engaging and something we could roll out in multiple countries. The results of our pilot activity in Spain proved that Discover Digital was a great solution for us.”
Before taking the course, only 13% of Spanish employees taking part felt they had at least a ‘good’ knowledge of digital media. This increased to 100% afterwards. Despite the course being in English, almost 90% found it easy to understand – whilst 100% said the courses were engaging, 50% citing “very engaging”.
Why ISBA chose Discover Digital as its official online learning provide:

Morrow says, “Every person who took the course said they would recommend this training to their colleagues across Europe.”
Kimberly-Clark’s involvement comes at the same time as the representative body for British advertisers, ISBA, chose Discover Digital as their official online learning provider. ISBA’s Jill Fear says, “Representative bodies such as our own have a responsibility to be rigorous and careful when it comes to selecting the services we provide to our members and the companies we partner with.
We have been very impressed with the style and, importantly, the interactivity of the learning delivery from Discover Digital. We are confident about its ability to engage learners in a simple way and bring about genuine learning with improvement in both their understanding and confidence.”
As part of the partnership, ISBA members will be able to access Discover Digital’s training modules at a reduced fee.
