![]() More about that in my presentation at #WindsorEXPO… The last few months I have been engaging more closely with Twitter to understand how it can be more useful. https://twitter.com/windsordaily
Over the years I have set up multiple channels. It started with @jondavey & @binbnews for my Business in Berkshire website but I saw very little traffic coming through to the main site and so parked it for a while. Most people will hit follow but not actually follow anything you tweet… why would they, are you really that interesting? A similar thing happens in social media groups, only a very small percentage engage regularly… most people have way more interesting things to do 😉 I set up @2020socialmedia to promote an expo in 2010 and then last year used it to try out auto tweeting… this has worked, driving hundreds of visitors every month. In fact, most of the traffic visiting my http://www.socialmediadirectors.co.uk website gets there via auto-tweets… and it has great SEO! Go figure… “This way is Windsor” I set up @windsordaily to connect locally, deciding to follow locals and create a “This way is Windsor” type vibe… with most retailers simply making offers, dull but of some relevance… the local youth talking about going out… and a whole variety of other content coming through, it makes for an interesting read. Recently, with my new incarnation, I created @jonathanldavey but how many channels can one guy have and what do you do with them all?
That keeps things nice and straight forward and ensures I am making the most of this channel and keeps it fun… tune in @windsordaily Come and hear how I have been using auto-tweets to drive opportunity at The Thames Valley EXPO on 13th June at Windsor Racecourse. Thank you. Jon Categories: EXPO, Local Business, Social Media Engagement, Windsor |
