In Exploding Actresses, Italian filmmaker Simone Rovellini takes some of film’s most beloved heroines and, well, blows their noggins to smithereens.

A word of warning to the skittish: those moments when you’re waiting for a gussied-up head to explode can be a little nerve racking. Once you get past the initial gasp, it’s pretty hilarious (and very impressive film editing, indeed). And don’t worry too much — the lack of gore would leave Quentin Tarantino highly disappointed.
