No Festive Respite for Telco/Broadband Firm Direct Save Telecom
Direct Save Telecom’s customer support teams will remain open throughout the holiday period
As more and more price conscious consumers turn their backs on the big 4’s price hikes, Direct Save Telecom’s customer support teams will remain open throughout the holiday period to new and existing customers
Budget phone/broadband firm Direct Save Telecom (www.directsavetelecom.co.uk) today reminds consumers nearing termination of their contracts with the big four phone and broadband providers that its UK-based customer support teams will remain fully operational throughout the festive period to ensure seamless transfer onto its networks.
The fast-growing telco expects many consumers fed to the back teeth with one price hike after another to finally switch to more agile and consumer friendly providers such as Direct Save.
The year 2013 has seen Direct Save Telecom release a number of price and product initiatives that have reset the phone/broadband landscape and driven its competitors to try and match their deals.
The latest “copied but never matched” deal was Direct Save’s £1.95 per month free evening and weekend calls with truly unlimited broadband deal launched a few months ago, which has since led to thousands of customers snapping up the service.
Wherever an exchange has broadband, Direct Save can deliver this much sought after deal, which covers approximately 99% of the UK population. It is available at all exchanges that have ADSL2+ (21st Century Broadband) and this will satisfy approximately 95% of households. If someone is unlucky enough to be connected to an exchange that BT’s OpenReach has not upgraded to ADSL2+, they can sign up for Direct Save’s “out of area” price of £14.95 per month. This still represents a financially attractive offer to consumers when compared to other deals in the market.
Compared to the big 4 broadband providers, BT, TalkTalk, Virgin and Sky, Direct Save’s customers can shave hundreds of pounds from their telecom bill. For example BT’s unlimited package, which only includes weekend calls, works out at a whopping £171 more expensive over two years.
“The year 2013 has been one of sustained growth for Direct Save Telecom thanks to our numerous innovative packages and deals,” says Stavros Tsolakis, CEO Direct Save Telecom. “The year 2014 will again see Direct Save launch new deals onto the market to further establish out growing footprint.”
