Hotwire group CEO Brendon Craigie joins Joanna Shields, Benjamin Southworth and Eric van der Kleij as one of the most influential people in Tech City.
LONDON, 09 December 2013: Hotwire, the global integrated PR and communications consultancy, announces today that Brendon Craigie, group CEO, has been named one of the 100 most influential people in Tech City.
The 2013 TechCityinsider Almanac highlights 100 individuals from London’s tech scene from startup founders and CEOs, to investors and media. The list includes the likes of Joanna Shields, chief executive, TCIO, Benjamin Southworth, tech evangelist and founder of 3Beards, Eric van der Kleij, head of Level39, Ben Hammersley, technologist, and Lily Cole, founder of Impossible. It highlights the people that TechCityinsider believe to be the people “redefining digital business in London and beyond.”
Julian Blake, editor at TechCityinsider, commented, “Hotwire is embedded into the London tech scene, not just with the roster of clients that they work with, but within the wider community as well. They are a vibrant and innovative bunch of people with extensive experience in the technology space. Brendon’s leadership at Hotwire and his influence in technology was something we wanted to highlight in TCi 2013 Almanac.”
Brendon Craigie said, “It is an honour to be named as one of Tech City’s most influential people and I want to thank TechCityinsider for my inclusion. Hotwire started in 2000 as a startup not far from Old Street and earlier this year we uprooted into the heart of Tech City itself. Since the agency was founded, we have always put innovation and entrepreneurship at the heart of what we do, and so it is with great pleasure that we have been recognised for that. I thoroughly look forward to getting involved with the forthcoming programme of events in the year ahead.”
Brendon Craigie joined Hotwire in 2001 from Shandwick and fastly rose through the ranks, making group CEO in 2011. He was quoted in a PRWeek profile as “a young man in a hurry” and the same publication has named him a member of the PRWeek PowerBook for several years running.
