Fact of the day: Today’s date – 11/12/13 – is the last time this century that the date will align consecutively (we’ll have to wait until 1 February 2103 for it to happen again).
Because of the way our calendar is structured, consecutive dates happen 11 times in a row near the beginning of the century, and then never again until a new century comes around. We’ve just reached the end of that sequence.
Although it carries no particular significance, today’s date is numerologically pleasing (enough to prompt a flurry of weddings and induced births), especially if you remember to mark it at ten past nine this morning (9:10 11/12/13).
Thanks to Dewald Pretorius of Englefield Green for this unusual fact.
