London, 24th January 2014. Bloomberg Television, the multi-platform 24-hour business and financial news network, launches a major European brand campaign this week targeting professionals, international business travellers and commuters across London.
The month-long digital outdoor campaign will place the network’s leading regional anchors, Mark Barton, Anna Edwards, Guy Johnson and Francine Lacqua in the spotlight to promote the channel’s flagship morning programmes, ‘Countdown’, ‘On the Move’ and ‘The Pulse’ which air weekdays from 6am – 11am GMT.

Digital screens will run a series of four 10-second and four five-second animated advertisements representing the three European-focused programmes and the network at major national rail interchange and commuter stations frequented by Bloomberg Television’s audience of influential business and finance professionals. Liverpool St, London Bridge, Fenchurch St, Cannon St, Bank, Waterloo will all feature the ads during the peak travel times of 6-10am and 4-7pm.
Additional spots will run 24/7 at screens in more than 100 offices across the City, at the Bloomberg Hub at London City Airport, and on the platforms at Heathrow terminals one to five. Print ads will run in a selection of trade and consumer publications and an accompanying 30-second on-air promo showcasing the three programmes is now airing on Bloomberg Television in EMEA.

Francine Lacqua is an award-winning anchor and editor-at-large for Bloomberg Television. Host of ‘On the Move’ and co-host of ‘The Pulse’, she covers top international business, economic and market-moving stories from Bloomberg Television’s London studio every weekday and interviews business, finance and political influencers across Europe. In 2013, Lacqua was named ‘International TV Personality of the Year’ at the AIB Media Awards.
Guy Johnson is a London-based anchor and co-host of ‘The Pulse’ with Francine Lacqua. He joined Bloomberg from CNBC Europe and has nearly two decades of experience as a top financial broadcast journalist. Throughout his career, Johnson has covered major economic and corporate events including the collapse of Barings Bank, the Internet boom and the global banking crisis.
Mark Barton co-anchors ‘Countdown’, setting the agenda for the business day in the lead up to the opening of the European markets. Barton Joined Bloomberg in 1995 and has covered many global economic, financial and political events and conducted interviews with leaders across business and finance such as Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Royal Dutch Shell CEO Peter Voser and former ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet.
Anna Edwards co-anchors ‘Countdown’ with Mark Barton out of London. She has more than 10 years’ experience in business news having previously worked at CNBC Europe. Before entering the Television industry, Anna was an equity analyst at UBS and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
