Senior Marketing appointment will place customers at the centre of technology‑enabled language service revolution

Leeds, United Kingdom – 19 March 2014: thebigword has appointed Kevin Anderson to a newly-created position of Global Marketing Director, as the rapidly growing translation and interpreting company continues to strengthen its senior team.

Established as one the world’s largest  in its sector, thebigword has 500 employees working in 13 global offices and is on track for a £50 million turnover.  Demand for its technology-enabled language services is growing, fuelled by the increasing need to communicate across different languages and cultures.

Kevin Anderson brings to thebigword more than 20 years of marketing and product management experience and skills, primarily in the business-to-business technology sector, developing and launching successful customer-focused solutions.  He has experience of working across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In the newly-created role of Global Marketing Director, Kevin will be responsible for thebigword brand, directing a dispersed team to develop, implement and manage the customer-facing strategy that will drive growth.

Kevin, who is a Chartered Marketer and holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Birmingham, is married with two children.  Based at the thebigword’s global HQ in Leeds, he intends to find time in his busy work schedule to indulge his passion for live music and sport.
