@SkyParlour! lands small consultancy gong at CIPR awards
SkyParlour has picked up the Outstanding Small Consultancy Award at the CIPR Excellence Awards #CIPREXCEL in London.
The Manchester-based PR firm was described by the judges as being “more focused than a heat-seeking missile” and was praised for its strong brand and culture, as well as its deep knowledge of the sector, which makes it ideally placed to take advantage of the growing mobile payments and m-commerce market.
“After setting up in a week, they’ve built a strong foundation for a future business in a market that is growing not only in the UK but internationally,” the panel added.
SkyParlour co-founder Angela Yore said, “We have worked very hard over the past few years to establish ourselves as a strategic marketing and communications consultancy and it feels fantastic to be recognised by our industry peers.”
Co-founder Kimberley Waldron added, “Since starting SkyParlour back in 2009 we wanted our passion for improving marketing and communications practices in the payments, ecommerce and technology sectors to stand out.
“Our experienced team means we work with technology businesses on a global scale and we are looking forward to expanding even more in the future.”
Mark Pigou Managing Director, Internet Retailing
“The quality and number of journalists SkyParlour secured at the Internet Retailing Conference was really impressive. But the value didn’t stop there, thanks to the professionalism of the team, their media outreach skills and ability to develop great relationships with the journalists, exhibitors and speakers, they’ve helped us develop a group of high-level advocates that will see next year’s conference be bigger and better than ever.”
