Internet Retailing Expo (IRX) saw off tough competition from across the event industry to be crowned the Best Tradeshow over 2000 square metres at the AEO Excellence Awards 2014 last Friday.

IRX is the leading multichannel event in the retail calendar and takes place every March at the NEC Birmingham. The event has seen 25% growth each year since it began in 2011, with every event seeing an impressive increase in space and visitor numbers.

With over 200 exhibitors and 5000 visitors to the show, IRX welcomes retailers and technology providers from across the multichannel landscape. Six retailer-led conferences featuring expert commercial speakers from across the retail, fashion, logistics, travel, grocery, beauty, homeware and luxury brand markets, from Amazon to Waitrose, allow visitors to learn from the best about how to connect profitably with their customers – the mistakes, the insights and the best practice.

Speaking about the triumph after collecting the award from host Jimmy Carr, Co-Founder and Managing Director of IRX Mark Pigou, said:

“Winning the award is a huge accomplishment for Internet Retailing Expo and a true reflection of the dedication of the whole team.

“We’re looking forward to using the momentum of the win to make IRX 2015 even more of a success for our customers and will see the launch of a new co-located event, eDelivery Expo ( EDX ), with the show with a focus on ecommerce logistics and delivery.”

The AEO Excellence Awards represent the best that the events industry has to offer, showcasing the amazing achievements and recognising and celebrating the organisers’ achievements.
