Latest from Socialites & Goodwood, Soul & Yorkshire Building Society, Zkipster & Event Organisers

Socialites is broadening its marketing strategy to further raise awareness of the brand as the UK’s leading e-cigarette provider

A partnership with Goodwood, the historic home to both two and four-wheeled motorsport, has made history as @SocialitesZer0 are the first ever e-cigarette company in the market to be associated with the Goodwood brand.

The partnership revved into gear with last weekend’s The Festival of Speed, and the exclusive invitation from Goodwood was secured as a result of Socialites’ prominence in a highly competitive market. Other notable events which the brand will be involved in throughout the year include the prestigious Goodwood Races and the Goodwood Revival.

A second partnership with @DoncasterRaces one of the oldest and largest centres for horse racing in Great Britain, will see the brand act as the main sponsor for all race meetings over a twelve-month period.

Soul has brought to life an ambient campaign for Yorkshire Building Society

Creative direct marketing agency Soul has brought to life an ambient campaign for Yorkshire Building Society (YBS), in support of the Society’s sponsorship of the Tour de France Grand Départ. 150 sheep in Yorkshire have had their wool dyed yellow in honour of the Tour de France leader’s famous yellow jersey.

Soul has teamed up with a local farm to provide the shearing and dyeing of the sheep, which will be located in a field along the route of the first stage of the race from Friday 4 July until Sunday 6 July. The agency has also made an agreement with the sheep owner, farmer Richard Appleton, to buy the wool with the intention of creating jumpers for donation to charities for children and families in need.

Zkipster : Event organisers say goodbye to gate crashers

As event season in the UK reaches frenzy point, Swiss start-up zkipster has announced that its guest list application and photograph add-on, zFace, is gaining momentum amongst UK private event organisers in the media, luxury, arts, culture, sport, music and charity sectors. zkipster has handled more than 250,000 event check-ins in the UK since its launch. Ideal for event planners, needing to recognise their guests, and press teams managing red carpet and step & repeat media walls, it automatically matches images of invitees during upload and validation, providing pre and day-of event guest list management.

zkipster is the first app of its kind to offer secure, real-time guest list management across all of the major operating platforms (iOS, Windows and Android). Its add-on zFace is also the first cloud-based product on the market to integrate pictures into electronic guest list management. Matching guest names with pictures can help event organisers minimise gate crashing, especially at high profile events that attract pranksters. Last month’s Cannes Film Festival saw a number of tricksters getting access to the red carpet despite the event being renowned for its strict decorum.

Since zkipster entered the UK market in March 2013, a large number of UK companies and corporate event organisers have started using the app to elevate their guest check-in at VIP events to minimise gate crashers. UK clients include Sotheby’s, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Hugo Boss, Cancer Research UK, Red Bull and VistaJet.  This February the company closed a financing round with Zurich Cantonal Bank (ZKB) to fund its global expansion, including its footprint in the UK.
