SignalAd improves Western Union’s online advertising effectiveness by 97%
Affectv’s SignalAd technology demonstrated a 97% increase in conversion rates of their online banner advertising in a test campaign with Western Union. Affectv were tasked with finding a highly niche audience within a competitive money transfer market and reaching them at scale, as Western Union looked to magnify their reach among specific regions in the UK, challenge consumer assumptions about money transferring services and attract new customers to increase business growth.

During the campaign trialling Affectv’s SignalAds, which comprised a fifth of the overall campaign, Western Union were able to overcome the challenges, attract new customers and heighten brand awareness amongst the target audience. The campaign saw a 97% conversion uplift with SignalAds compared to the standard ad banners without SignalAd.
Since the one month trial of SignalAd and the success that it has had for Western Union’s online advertising position, Western Union have increased their online advertising budget by seven times and booked in eight more online campaigns all using SignalAd technology.
