This is good news for the increasing number of UK manufacturers actively seeking acquisition opportunities, with a recent survey by Deloitte finding more than nine in ten businesses in the sector now describe themselves as acquisitive.
The data has been provided by the dealconnections Index, a barometer of business deals which provides data on more than 90 per cent of the UK businesses for sale market. The index runs in conjunction with the dealconnections website, the online service for entrepreneurs and investors which lists more than 7,000 live searchable business for sale opportunities.
Support Services continues to lead the way in volume terms, with 34 business opportunities coming on to the market in November. This is followed closely by deals in the Construction, Industrial and Materials sectors, with a combined total of 71 deals. These opportunities include a steel fabrication business, a manufacturer of diamond coated tools, and a joinery manufacturing company.
