Clarion Events Selects GoCoin to Process Digital Currencies for the Payments World Series
Clarion Events has announced a strategic partnership with GoCoin to add digital currency payments to its registration system for the Payments World Series. GoCoin is a global leader in Blockchain payments and the first platform for processing Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin at checkout.
The Payments World Series portfolio of 12 events includes PayExpo, Mobile Money & Digital Payments and Transport Ticketing Series which take place around the globe from Mexico, Johannesburg and London to Warsaw, Istanbul and Jakarta. They bring together banking, retail, transport, government, finance and payments solutions providers to discuss the latest technology, regulatory aspects and consumer behaviour around mobile money, prepaid, security and everything cashless that’s creating progression in payments across established and developing markets.
“The Payments World Series was designed as a platform to showcase the various innovations that can move the industry forward, and by partnering with GoCoin, Clarion Events is going even further by integrating the most advanced payment method into its registration system,” said Steve Beauregard, co-founder and CEO of GoCoin.
“Our conferences and exhibitions are at the forefront of the rapidly developing payments industry worldwide. They bring together industry experts to share a wide range of creative recent practical implementations and the latest innovative technologies, ideas and strategic thinking for the future.
It is important that as payments experts we practise what we preach, so our registration system should be among the first in the world to encompass all the latest payment channels,” said Michael Seaman, Portfolio Director for the Payments World Series at Clarion Events. “GoCoin’s platform was attractive to us because it’s specifically designed to keep pace with emerging currencies while also offering the option to have payout accounts in stable fiat.”
From this week delegates to PayExpo 2015 will be able to pay using digital currency. The UK’s largest payments technology event takes place at ExCeL, London on 9 and 10 June.
Entry is free for executives of government authorities; housing associations; retailers; mobile network operators; issuing banks; gaming operators; hotel and leisure operators; and transport operators.
