Fulfilment & e.logistics and m.logistics magazines bought by InternetRetailing Media

InternetRetailing Media has bought two specialist logistics magazines to boost a publishing portfolio that focuses on multichannel retailing and related industries.

The move to buy Fulfilment & e.logistics and m.logistics Magazines follows hard on the heels of January’s launch of eDelivery magazine. It comes soon after the sale of Internet Retailing Events, which includes the Internet Retailing Conference and Internet Retailing Expo, to Clarion Events.

Fulfilment & e.logistics

Fulfilment & e.logistics was launched in 2000 to cover the burgeoning online fulfilment industry, and was followed in 2002 by m.logistics, which focused on telematics and mobile computing. The two titles and related supplier guides have, until now, been operated by their founders, commercial director Chris Propert-Lewis, who previously worked in publishing and media sales, Peter Rowlands, group editorial director, and Sharon Clancy, editor of m.logistics, both of whom have worked for many years as transport and logistics journalists.

“I’d like to personally thank Peter and his team for entrusting us with Fulfilment & e.logistics and m.logistics and we wish them every success with their new business endeavours,” said Mark Pigou, director and co-founder of InternetRetailing Media.

“The acquisition is an accelerator for our serious ambitions for InternetRetailing Media and will allow us, as Europe’s undisputed leader in news, research and industry analysis, to ensure we’re raising the standards of the multichannel and omnichannel fulfilment industry through expert insight and education.”

Peter Rowlands, editorial director and co-founder of Fulfilment & e.logistics and m.logistics, said: “We are delighted to see our magazines moving to such a natural home and we are confident that InternetRetailing Media will evolve the brand and expand its readership into new international markets.

The new owners aspire to the same editorial values as ourselves, and we are confident that their eDelivery publication will pick up the baton that we have run with all these years, ensuring that the spirit of Fulfilment & e.logistics lives on.”
