UK chocolate company Mood Foods has stepped up production of Ombar (ombar.co.uk), its raw chocolate range, following an increase in sales as it reaches new markets through social media and content marketing.
Ombar chocolate is stocked by major retailers including Ocado. According to Food Manufacturer.co.uk, in 2014 the chocolate market was worth an estimated £2.5bn and continues to rise. Ombar chocolate looks set to take a larger percentage of this market through its online marketing activities.
Richard Mood, Founder of Mood Foods, said: “The consumption of Ombar chocolate has grown steadily in recent years as the market enjoys the amazing taste as well as the health benefits of our raw chocolate products. We wanted to explore this demand and partnered with Vertical Leap to help us reach and engage with our customers, as well as develop new markets through their expertise in SEO and social media.”
The campaign is supported by content marketing, with recipes, news and health advice available through a variety on online publications and bloggers.
Chris Pitt, head of marketing at Vertical Leap (vertical-leap.uk) , said: “We have combined SEO with a social media campaign to engage with existing consumers who currently enjoy Ombar chocolate and new customers curious to explore the taste and understand its health benefits. Our prescriptive marketing platform, Apollo Insights, is guiding the team in creating the right content for the web pages and social outreach, providing actionable insight in real time throughout the campaign.”
