You thought politics was cut throat?
Chris Evans dedicated his BBC Radio 2 Breakfast show to the Top Gear team as he appeared to ignore reports suggesting they celebrated his resignation.
Evans, 50, announced he was stepping down as host less than 24 hours after the final episode in the new series aired.
The presenter acknowledged the furore on Tuesday morning and told listeners: “Today’s show is dedicated to all of the Top Gear gang and the show is entitled: Breathe In Breathe Out, Move On.”
Evans’ comments come after it was reported that the Top Gear team had celebrated his departure.
