Ground-breaking new platform Food.Social, set to revolutionise the dining experience, has teamed up with integrated storytelling agency Plus 1 Communications in a bid to take the UK by storm.
Food.Social encourages foodies all over London to connect through their love of great food, bringing together hosts and guests to enjoy a vast array of food experiences.
The Food.Social App is available to download on both Apple and Android systems via both App Stores and the Food.Social website – https://food.social.
Users can join the app or sign up to the website, at no cost, to find unique dining experiences – from intimate supper clubs, to immersive foodie events to cookery classes, to haute cuisine dinners to team building walking food tours and exclusive dinner parties.
Similarly, hosts don’t need to have a professional kitchen in order to participate – indeed, gourmands who have always dreamt of opening their own restaurants, but lacked the funding or want to open up a home pop-up and share family recipes will be able to offer intimate dining experiences that can’t be found elsewhere.
Food.Social is a small hub with big ambitions, launching in London first, before expanding to the rest of the UK. It is set to become the world’s biggest ‘restaurant chain’ and gastro-experience hub, despite not owning any restaurants.
In a similar vein to Uber, Airbnb and Borrow My Doggy which centres around bringing like-minded individuals together to share services, Food.Social creates communities of food enthusiasts.
For businesses, Food.Social is also a gateway to food communities as well as an innovative way to trial new menus, products, experiences and bring in new diners. A rating system allows diners to feedback their experience to both the host and prospective diners.
Having partnered with Plus 1 Communications, Food.Social is aiming to become the ‘Airbnb of food’, creating food-centric communities across the globe.
Founder, James Hill, said: “Food.Social is a revolutionary new way to dine, offering our users an experience that is completely unique. It is a foodie eco system which brings together food-lovers, diners, chefs, restaurants and brands.
“Being part of the Food.Social community offers users a chance to connect through a love of excellent food and be part of the biggest restaurant chain in the world. We can’t wait to see how our platform evolves as we collaborate with Plus 1 Communications. Food.Social will be an instrumental component to London’s foodie scene.”
Karen Lane, MD of Plus 1 Communications said: “At Plus 1 Communications we love working with brands that have a fresh outlook and the potential to change the way the industry moves.
Food.Social are disruptors who are offering something different to the foodie community and we are really excited to be their Plus 1 on their journey to becoming the largest food orientated platform.”
Previously launched in Milan to great reception, Food.Social is now available to London foodies, with plans for expansion within the UK and beyond.
