How to create an intimate party

Some of the best parties you can attend are intimate gatherings.

Unlike formal big parties, an intimate party allows a close knit group of people to get together to celebrate any event or just get together for no specific purpose other than to celebrate great friendships or even for business purposes.

Having an intimate party can be different than a big one. If you want to have a memorable and flawless intimate gathering, here are some things to take into consideration.

Planning:

Just because it’s informal, doesn’t mean it doesn’t need planning. Just like a big party, it will be helpful to have a checklist of all the things you’re planning for; from the food to the type of music you want.

Your home might not be ready to host people, or maybe you need or want to host a party out of your own home state, like in Florida, which is always known for its unique parties.

In that case, hosting a party at a Banquet Hall in Fort Lauderdale is an excellent choice with several packages to choose from. While weddings are often hosted there, they also host graduation parties, family reunions, Christmas parties, birthday and anniversary celebrations, corporate luncheons and training events, church worship services, and more.

Prepare your guests:

Your guests should know exactly where they’ll be at and what to expect and what is expected of them.

This means to communicate with them so they know how to dress, what time they should show up, how to get there, etc. You’re the host and it’s your job to get this done.

Be picky on the menu:

Everyone loves great food, so a winning menu is a part of one great party. Have enough variety on your menu, so that there is something for everyone.

With big parties, you might shy away from trying different foods and stick to the classics, but small intimate groups don’t mind trying new things. If you can afford a catering service, this will help you lots and relieve the pressure of preparing everything yourself.

Decoration:

Depending on the event, choose decorations wisely. Many people would prefer giving a themed party, which would dictate more or less which way to go.

But if there is no particular theme, you want to use few décor items that have the impact that you want. Keep in mind that if hosting in a rented space, you might not be allowed to decorate to your heart’s desire. Choose suitable décor, so for example, the dimmer a place is lit, the more intimate the party. This might be nice for some occasions, like a quiet dinner, but inappropriate for others.

A small guest list makes people feel important, exclusive, and part of a special group. Large and over the top parties are becoming old news, and being replaced with smaller gatherings.

In fact, smaller, intimate parties are becoming a popular way for businesses, with a takeaway of creating a solid network of people and community building.

This creates a more intimate experience where your guests will feel elite and not just another face in the crowd.
