The Special Relationship is at risk of meltdown today after Donald Trump lashed out at Theresa May for criticising his retweets of a far-right group.
The US president demanded the PM focus on ‘Islamic terrorism taking place in the UK’ after Mrs May said he was ‘wrong’ to share anti-Muslim videos posted by Britain First.
Mr Trump’s tweets have drawn fresh calls for his State Visit invite – extended by Mrs May on behalf of the Queen in January – to be withdrawn.
