Events : Startups at the Dublin Web Summit

Paddy Cosgrave writes .. Startups have 3 valuable opportunities to pitch, network and exhibit to leading international investors, entrepreneurs and media at this year’s Dublin Web Summit.

We have a huge startup competition, an incredible exhibition area at the heart of the 3,000 person Summit, and a new invite only event called START, with full details below.

Since 2010, the winners of our startup competition have gone on to raise millions from leading investors around the world. Many of those who have exhibited have connected with international investors, global media and incredible clients that have helped take their companies to a new level. For those that have simply attended, they’ve listened and learned from some of the world’s most visionary entrepreneurs and investors, and made valuable use of the many networking opportunities.

For 2012, we’re taking things to a new level. All startups can now apply for a €4,000 discount to both attend and exhibit here.

Startup Competition

Our startup competition, the Electric Ireland Spark of Genius, will be bigger than ever before, with 50 startups from across the world competing to pitch from the main stage on the final afternoon. Further details including entry criteria and the application deadline are available here.

Startup Exhibition

Our Startup Village will feature over 100 leading startups from around the world, with a big emphasis on the Europe’s most disruptive emerging companies. It’s €4,950 to exhibit in the Startup Village, but thanks to our incredible sponsors 75 of the 100 startups will be given a €4,000 discount. Which means the cost of exhibiting, plus two tickets, will be a total of €950. The first round of applications close on Friday July 27th at 6pm GMT. You can apply here .

START – By Invitation Only

We’re taking a leaf out of our F.ounders playbook and creating an invite only event that will bring together 100 of the world’s leading early stage startups, investors and media for a private invitation-only gathering. We’re calling it START. If you’d like to be considered for an invitation, please apply here .
