The Old Rosie cider brand required extensive market research, asking cider drinkers and real ale drinkers their opinions on the brand that was originally launched in 1988.
Working in collaboration with artist, Dan Kitchener, on the project, the Old Rosie cider label design features the 1921 Aveling Porter Steam Engine, which the company bought in 1982 and appeared on the original label. Via www.facebook.com/drinksbrands

“The changes have been evolutionary, not revolutionary, as it was important to maintain product recognition whilst updating the brand’s appearance,” said Roger Jackson,Weston’s Cider Commercial Director. “We are all having to work harder to get our products noticed on the bar in the current climate and the new look of Old Rosie does just that.”
In addition to being available on draught as a traditional cloudy still cider, a lightly carbonated version of 7.3% Old Rosie cider will also be available in 330ml and 500ml bottles.
