Martin Gill, a Principle Analyst in eBusiness and Channel Strategy, today announced that recent changes in mainstream consumer behaviour cannot be ignored by retailers, deeming those who do not go digital, closed for business. Martin’s research at Forrester has demonstrated that *53% of online shoppers are already adopting click and collect and safely predicts that by 2016 14% of UK retail will be sold online*
The 7th Internet Retailing Conference which takes place on 9th October at the Novotel, Hammersmith, London, Martin will be instructing retailers how they can confidently change their retail experience and reorganise their brand to serve the multi-touchpoints expected by today’s savvy consumer.
Martin states “The retail world is going to look very different in 10 year’s time. Businesses will either be fundamentally digital, or they won’t exist.”
He continues: “the Internet Retailing conference brings together many of the key retailers in the UK. It’s a great place where retailers can sound research theories off each other and where we can discuss what’s relevant and front of mind for eBusiness executives so that we can stay relevant in our work.”
