Leading IT services company Vista Support has enjoyed its best-ever year for new business, adding major accounts including Toys R Us, BHS, Monsoon, A S Watson and Mothercare to its customer portfolio. As a result, the company has more than doubled its share of major retailers over the past 12 months and now services 25% of the UK’s Top 50 retail companies.
As Vista enters the next stage of its growth plan, the company has also undertaken an aggressive recruitment programme, with total staffing levels across the whole business up by 14%. Vista is also working with Jobs Growth Wales, a Welsh Government programme launched in April 2012 which looks to provide new employment opportunities for 16-24 year olds.
“We are delighted tosupport this important initiative, which enables local young people struggling to enter the employment market to gain valuable hands-on job experience,” says Vista CEO, Richard Olds. “At the same time, as part of our growing workforce female recruits have joined our warehouse and service engineer teams for the first time.”
Vista has also upgraded its warehouse capability and the new state-of-the-art automated distribution facility will be able to handle a 40% increase in volume within the same footprint. Looking ahead, further planned investment in the company’s call centre systems will also help drive significant improvements in internal efficiencies and customer service quality.
“Our success in growing existing customers and securing major new accounts reflects the importance the retail and hospitality sectors place on ensuring IT systems remain fully operational at all times,” Oldsconfirms. “More than ever this is seen as fundamental to good service, the key to driving up customer loyalty and retention rates.
“By investing in people and systems in this way, we now have the ideal springboard to realise our ambitious growth targets and take the business onto the next level of its development.”
