Tesco has cleared out 50 managers from the supermarket’s head offices as chief executive Philip Clarke battles to improve the performance of the business.
Long-term employees Roger Fogg, chief executive of Tesco Mobile, and Ian Crook, marketing director for the supermarket’s massive Clubcard loyalty scheme, are among those to exit the business, along with staff from Tesco’s property communications and finance teams, according to sources close to the business.
