The Content Marketing Association (CMA), the industry body for the content marketing industry, has revealed the shortlist for its International Content Marketing Awards, to be held on Wednesday, 27th November at Old Billingsgate in London.
The CMA Awards 2013 is already the biggest in the Awards’ 15-year history, with 63 content marketing agencies submitting 445 entries from five continents, including countries such as Qatar and Singapore. The total number of entries is a 5% increase from 2012, with the number of agencies submitting entries increasing 23% year-on-year.
For the first time this year, to reflect the channel-neutral nature of the content marketing industry, categories were judged on content alone, regardless of the platform it was delivered on. As a result, 70% of the shortlisted entries are multi-channel and digital with a significant rise in integrated campaign submissions, including social media, apps, web, and mobile content.
Clare Hill, Managing Director at the Content Marketing Association, commented: “The sharp rise in entries submitted by an increasingly international range of agencies is an indication of the vast size of the global content marketing industry, which in the UK is worth £4bn alone and the huge number of brands recognizing its effectiveness. The calibre of entries this year is fantastic and our judging panel is going to have a tough job picking out winners from this high-quality field. We’re looking forward to revealing all at the ceremony on November 27th
The CMA Awards follows the CMA International Content Marketing Summit, also taking place on November 27th at Old Billingsgate. Speakers confirmed include Coca-Cola, Twitter, Facebook, MediaCom, Vice, The Economist, Fujitsu and even President Obama’s Digital Strategist will be joining the event.
