The UK’s most successful female marketers were honoured last night at the annual Women in Marketing (WIM) Awards. Founded by volunteer, Ade Onilude, and organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) the WIM awards celebrate the achievements of female marketers from across the UK.

This year’s ceremony at the Haymarket Hotel, hosted by Daryl Fielding, director of brand marketing at Vodafone, saw high achievers from top UK brands including Proctor & Gamble, News UK, MediaCom and Diageo, scoop prizes including Best Female Leader and Outstanding Contribution to Marketing.
Awards founder, Ade Onilude, commented: “These awards, now in their fourth year, allow us to shine a light on extraordinary women who are making a difference in a profession that touches the public in millions of ways every day. By highlighting these women’s stories we’re not only celebrating marketing excellence, but also the skills, behaviours and expectations of modern leadership, providing inspirational and aspirational role models for future generations of marketers and business leaders.”

Anne Godfrey said; “There has been plenty said in the media recently on the topic of women in business with a variety of solutions being offered up by different parties. This event allows us to remind people that, regardless of gender, you can achieve your goals with hard work and dedication. The winners of these awards can act as role models for those beginning their career in marketing. I would like to congratulate the winners for their achievements and I look forward to the next generation of marketers celebrating their own success in the future.”
