Marc Turley writes  .. I wanted to let you know that we have now published our latest research paper, entitled Sun, Sea and Content Marketing: Producing the Right Content for Travellers.

We surveyed nearly 500 travel industry professionals to see how they are using content to engage and convert their audiences.

Our research indicated that the travel industry is falling far short in this area, despite travellers’ appetite for rich and informative content. 

Some of the standout statistics include:

  • 53% of respondents who see the potential of video content are not yet producing or commissioning it
  • Two-thirds of travel firms tailor their content marketing efforts to families
  • More than 4 in 5 travel companies are active on social media, with Facebook the most popular channel
