Dermalogica’s UK online customers may now use Zapper’s Scan-to-Login to register and login.
The Zapper app (for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone) is free to download. Once installed, Dermalogica customers simply fill out a short profile on their first use and that allows the user’s login to be transmitted securely and immediately. Dermalogica has adopted the free Scan-to-Login service, which makes remembering and typing passwords a thing of the past.
“We are offering our customers this innovative service as a way to alleviate the hassle of registration and login,” said Glenn Poy, General Manager of Dermalogica UK. “With Scan-to-Login our clients are protected and best of all, they don’t have to remember their passwords anymore.”
Scan-to-Login uses two-factor authentication and 128-bit encryption to transmit user data. Maurice Karpes, Business Development Manager at Zapper explained, “Online customer experience and security are top concerns for Dermalogica. The Scan-to-Login service earned Dermalogica’s trust once we proved to them that this service makes their customer’s journey more convenient and secure”.
The process for registration and logging in is quick: by simply scanning the Zapper-enabled QR Code on the Dermalogica website, the user is granted instant access. Their smartphone encrypts the personal information and sends it to Dermalogica’s web servers to complete the login process. This eliminates manual input of registration, login, and/or checkout information. All personal data resides on the user’s mobile device, which is a safer and more reliable way to store sensitive, personal information.
