Online food ordering platform hungryhouse.co.uk has today launched a new marketing campaign which aims to champion the heroism of its partner restaurants’ delivery drivers.
The video content led ‘Delivery Hero of the Year’ campaign profiles five shortlisted drivers, chosen from over 9,000 partner restaurants, giving them a chance to share their stories and experiences while delivering takeaway food.
The objective of the content is to remind takeaway fans that delivery drivers go to great lengths to ensure every customer receives their food hot and on time, yet receive very little recognition. The activity will emphasise hungryhouse’s vital relationships with local restaurant partners, giving the takeaways a real ‘personality’ while reinforcing the brand’s key message “Your hunger. Our mission.”
Each video biography is open to a public vote, with hungryhouse using social media, newsletter and PR channels to drive traffic to the bespoke landing page.
The winning driver will be crowned Delivery Hero of the Year on hungryhouse’s first ever “Delivery Hero Day”, 29 March 2014.
Alice Mrongovius, hungryhouse.co.uk Marketing Director comments: “We work closely with our partner restaurants and delivery drivers on a daily basis, but find our customers do not always connect the moment of delivery with our brand.”
“We want to emphasise a connection to hungryhouse as a takeaway is handed over. This campaign showcases the personality of our drivers and champions some of the real heroes of the takeaway industry.”
