Tristar appoints Hume Whitehead
Tristar Worldwide, recipient of a 2012 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, has appointed Hume Whitehead Limited to handle its public relations activity in the UK. Hume Whitehead will be responsible for raising the chauffeur services company’s profile within the business community and supporting its expansion into new services and markets, such as its new luxury mini coach business.Tristar Worldwide is one of the UK’s largest chauffeur drive businesses with over 500 vehicles, and is in the top ten worldwide. Its overseas network operates in over 80 countries and it has offices in London, Manchester, Paris, New York, Boston and Hong Kong.

Sue Whitehead has over 25 years’ international travel industry experience in both the public and private sectors and is a Fellow of the Institute of Travel & Tourism. Before co-founding Hume Whitehead, Sue was Regional Director Europe, Middle East & Africa for the Hong Kong Tourism Board, achieving a record-breaking 2 million arrivals over a 12 month period.As Marketing Director of two of the UK’s largest hotel groups, she ran award-winning communications campaigns and developed major new brands. Whilst with the world-renowned Orient Express organisation, Sue directed the global launch of the Eastern & Oriental Express service in Singapore. Sue says: I love the challenge of finding just the right solution for clients with very different business objectives.
