Innovative takeaway service, Housebites has appointed Manifest London as its PR and social media agency as part of the fast-growing company’s ambitious expansion plans.
Housebites allows customers to order restaurant quality food freshly cooked at home by professional chefs to be delivered to their front door, with celebrities such as Lily Allen, Stephen Fry and Zoe Ball already amongst fans taking to Twitter to talk to followers about their orders.
- Manifest’s PR campaign will aim to establish Housebites as a better alternative to standard chinese, pizza or curry takeaways by elevating the status of home delivered food through a media relations campaign.
- As part of the integrated campaign, Manifest will be evolving the Housebites’ social media presence to enhance the sense of community already evident in those who have tried the service.
- Housebites, based in Shoreditch, is redefining the takeaway for a generation tired of the junk food experience.
- The appointment follows a number of high profile wins for Manifest London in the past three months including La Tasca, the Lawn Tennis Association, Macadamia Media and Kevin Pietersen’s online cricket coaching course from Pitchvision.
Quotations
Housebites founder and CEO, Simon Prockter commented:
“The traditional takeaway model inevitably results in a culture of convenience over quality. By turning the concept of takeaway on its head, Housebites proves that there is no need to compromise on quality for the sake of convenience. You can have your restaurant quality cake and eat it.”
“PR is an important ingredient for our continued growth and we wanted to find a consultancy that not only understands our business, the food and drink industry and the start-up scene, but can convert that knowledge into bold and creative campaigns. That’s why we are very pleased to be working with Manifest. They demonstrated to us a clear understanding of our business and how to get our message across both online and offline.”
Alex Myers, Director at Manifest London, said:
“Housebites is a concept that clicks with everyone who hears about it, and our job is to make sure more people do. It’s an incredibly exciting brief and we are very proud to be appointed.”
